What is hip hop music?  Hip hop music or rap music is a genre of popular music developed in the United States by inner city African American and Latino Americans in the Bronx borough of New York in the 1970's. Anthony "DJ Hollywood" Holloway is credited to be the founder of rap music from Harlem, New York. It began at block parties in New York City in the 1970's when Djs began isolating the percussion breaks of funk, soul and disco songs and extending them. The first hiphop song was "Rappers delight" by a hiphop group called "The Sugar Hill Gang" and the term hip hop is credited to the rapper Keith Cowboy with master flash and the furious five. Keith Cowboy, Lovebug Starski and DJ Hollywood used the term when the music was still known as disco rap. National Football league is a professional American Football league consisting of 32 teams divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). Professor Bella Itkin of DePaul University’s Theatre School theorized that in the early years, when people sat around camp fires telling stories and also when telling stories celebratory drumming and stomping feet, possibly, that's when clapping started.
